New Meeting Venue

Since its formation the Parish Council have held meetings at the Stoke Gifford Retirement Village. Councillors recognise this venue may not be accessible to residents within the Cheswick area and to this end, with the advent of Wallscourt Farm Academy's commitment to provide facilities to community groups outside school times, the parish council resolved to set the next meeting at this venue. The council is always delighted to welcome residents to attend meetings and look forward to meeting Cheswick residents at this new venue on Monday 9th March at 7.30PM. (Details of the agenda will be published on the home page a week before the meeting).

South Glos. Council - 'Your Voice' (date confirmed)

A Date for the second round of South Gloucestershire Council's new area committees called 'Your Voice' is to be held on Thursday 26th March between 6.30PM - 8.30PM at the Baileys Court Activity Centre in Bradley Stoke .
'Your Voice' offers South Gloucestershire residents further opportunity to share their views, ideas and concerns with the council and key organisations in the community. This informal, in person meeting provides an opportunity for South Glos. Council and their partners to listen to the community and understand what matters. The meetings are split into three sessions and people can attend all three or just the parts that interest them:
  1. Marketplace (30 minutes) – visit information stands to talk to council teams and other partners or voluntary organisations.
  2. Roundtable (45 minutes) – a workshop to discuss a local challenge and propose joint solutions.
  3. Community talk (45 minutes) – a presentation from a council team or partner organisation to share and discuss information about local issues.
Residents are invited to submit topics to discuss and send in questions for the 'community talk' part of the meeting. The council and partners may be asked to present information about upcoming projects or respond to local issues at future meetings. Those attending can sign up in advance to receive email reminders and future updates, although residents can also turn up on the day.
